The Promise is for us and our children
Early this year in January, God spoke to me regarding our Next Generation at church and said that He is going to pour out His Spirit in a greater measure upon them this year. The verse was from Acts 2:16-21 and Joel 2:28-29.
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days."
A month later, I heard of the revival happening in Kentucky.
I believe God was speaking to me ahead of time and preparing me for what He wanted to do in our church through the Next Generation as His heart is broken over the despair and hopelessness a lot of them are facing.
But the promise is for all of us! I believe God is doing something around the world and we will also experience it in His time. I believe we are in the initial stages of it already as a church!
But He is looking for hungry hearts, hearts that are open to receive the work of His Spirit. It all begins at His feet in prayer.
Today is our day of prayer, fasting and worship as a church. Tonight we will be gathering for prayer and worship at the church centre from 7.30-8.30pm. Let's come together to seek God like never before, both in worship and prayer.
There is so much more He wants to do in our lives and in our church but it takes us drawing close to Him.
I look foward to seeing you tonight. We will enjoy some food together afterwards :)
