God is watching over His word to fulfil it!

January has already come and gone!

I was pondering all that God did in the past month in our church and in my life. It's a good thing to look back and remember all the good things God did in our lives on a regular basis. It will encourage us and bring hope and faith for the future.

We all had a wonderful time of seeking God in January and particularly during our week of fasting.

God spoke some things to me personally during January and I have them all written down. These are scriptures He highlighted to me that are His promises to me for this year. I did this so that I wouldn't forget and so that I can daily bring them before Him in prayer, pray them over my life, and hold on to them until I see them come to pass.

I'd encourage us all to do the same. Let's go back over those words God spoke to each of us, and let's remember them as we enter February. Some things that God spoke may have already come to pass and some are yet to. But I want us to think about our heart posture towards God's promises. Have we already forgotten them or are we taking them seriously and exercising patience and faith to see them come to fruition in our lives?

What are the scriptures God spoke to you during the fast? Are there some things He promised you for this year? Are there things He promised you for your finances, family, health, work etc? Are there some changes He asked you to make in your life? Are there some relationships He's asked you to mend? Are there some heart issues He's spoken to you about that He wants to work on this year. How are we doing with all of this?

Jeremiah 1:12 NIV says "The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”

When God speaks to us, He doesn't change, but we often forget what He spoke. I'd encourage you to remember them today. God's word is full of His power and He will orchestrate situations and circumstances in a way that no one else can. He is the miracle worker!
