Unless the Lord builds the house, we labour in vain!

Hi Church! Today is not only the first day of Spring but it's the first day of September when we look forward to hosting and participating in our long awaited EN Oceania Regional Conference - BUILD 2022 at the end of this month!

This conference is going to be life changing and powerful for all of us! We have all been working hard, putting in long hours, most are volunteering their time to make this happen! God loves our hearts as we put Him and His kingdom at the centre of our lives, giving our time to serving Him. However, Psalm 127:1,2 says:

"Unless the Lord BUILDs the house, its builders labour in vain! Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain"!

King Solomon knew a thing a too about the hard work that goes into building and guarding.
He was responsible for the building of the temple of God and oversaw that in his lifetime.

As a King, he knew what it meant to have guards watch over his kingdom from potential threats! He says, that yes, it's good to work hard and keep watch, God wants us to work hard, but unless the blessing of God is involved in what we do, all that we do is in vain or useless! It will end in frustration!  This applies to everything we do, be it our jobs, raising our families, our study, our careers, our relationships etc. We need to do our part but unless we implore God's blessing upon them, and involve Him first and foremost in all that He asks us to do, our labour, efforts and hard work will be fruitless.

The scriptures provide us with many many answers as to how we can let God build things so we don't labour in vain or keep watch in vain. But one of the main ways we do it is by birthing all we do in prayer and bathing all we do in prayer!

We birth things in prayer by letting God speak to us as we pray to Him, and allowing Him to direct our desires/ efforts/ work/ labour. In other words, everything in our lives that we do for God should come out of His heart, through our relationship with Him in prayer.
We bathe things in prayer by then asking and interceding for those things to be fruitful and successful.  When God births things in us or directs our lives in His purpose and calling, we know there's an enemy who comes to hinder/ derail/ intimidate/ etc. in order to frustrate us and cause us to walk in the flesh or give up.  This is why its important to pray always and unceasingly. And it's imperative that we pray TOGETHER corporately as a church because God commands blessing and anointing to flow when we do this.

I look forward to seeing you at our corporate prayer and worship night tomorrow!
