Part 2: If My people who are called by My name....

Back early in March on the 16th, when I was praying to the Lord about Covid-19, He took me to 2 Chronicles 7:14. As an intercessor, I've stood on that scripture many times for our nation to turn to Jesus. But that day, I realised that the word 'plague' was in that scripture and how the answer to our physical need for healing from this plague, was to humble ourselves, turn to Him and pray for our nation and the nations of the earth so that we would see healing. I blogged about it here: If my people... God wanted us to pray for healing from this plague.

While I realise that other nations of the earth are still struggling, I know that as the wider church, Christians have been turning to God here in Australia and still are, praying for healing of our nation (and the nations of the earth). We have seen God answer our prayers here and things are slowly returning to normal. This is not coincidence! Let's give thanks to God for all that He has done in response to our prayers for our Government leaders, our communities and our nation through this challenging time and how He has brought us through this. And also let's continue to pray for the other nations of the earth through these devastating and challenging times.

A similar thing happened earlier in the year, when we had devastating bush fires. The Church/ Christians in Australia, began to rise up in prayer in unprecedented numbers, and we miraculously saw amazing downpours of rain fall,  months before they were predicted! God miraculously slowed down and eradicated the bushfires. This was not a coincidence!

We are a very blessed nation here in Australia. But, though bush fires have come and gone, a plague has come and almost gone, there remains a bigger need in our nation and that is a need for spiritual healing. Jesus is truly the answer for every person. More than physical healing and protection from bush fires, we need 'healing of our land' to happen spiritually.

Now that we are out mostly out of the woods and we look forward to things returning to normal, what if we came to Him with the same deep humility and desperation in prayer, and cried out for the forgiveness of our sins and healing of our land spiritually? Dare we believe that we would see a revival and see countless people in our cities and our nation turn to Jesus?  The answer is YES!

God cares about the human heart more than anything else! His desire is that NONE perish but that all come to know Him. This is His heartbeat. Can I encourage us all once more to come before Him in desperate prayer, not just for physical healing or protection but for the spiritual healing of this beautiful nation. A nation that God has supernaturally brought many of us to, because He has a plan and purpose to use us here? And for those that were born here, I'm sure you have the same desire to see this beautiful nation truly become the 'Great South Land Of the Holy Spirit' as it's original name means.
God has a great destiny for our nation!

I'd like to put forward a call to earnest, desperate prayer once again. The same promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 remains for us now to pray for the healing of this beautiful nation of Australia.
The same promise remains for us all to pray for the healing of the nations of the earth. Let's join together once more and pray, pray and pray. Let's see God turn this nation and the nations of the earth to Him, bringing in a great harvest of souls in these challenging times as people open up their hearts to Him.
